Let Go Of Tension

This stretch is about releasing tension. So all of that buildup we can get in our neck and our shoulders that makes us look and feel a little bit awkward and a little bit locked up, just about releasing the cap and just letting a little bit of that sort of tension, that pressure out.

So we'll come to a seated position, maybe on the floor, maybe on a chair, or you can stand if that feels better. Hands just resting somewhere comfortable. And we'll just settle in for a moment, maybe closing the eyes if that feels good. Sometimes that helps us get a little more into our body. Taking a deep breath in through the nose. As you breathe out, tip the right ear over to the right shoulder and hold it there. We take a few breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. We feel the opposite shoulder gently drawing down away from that ear. So focus on that feeling down the side of your neck. We breathe in. As you breathe out, just visualising a little of that tension melting away. Taking one more breath in and breath out. Head floats back up through the centre and we'll tip the left ear to the left shoulder. Holding it there. Inhaling through the nose. Exhaling through the mouth. The shoulder drops down away from the ear on the opposite side for a final breath in. On the exhale, just visualising a little of that tension melting away. And then floating your head back up into the centre

And you can use this stretch every time you feel tension in your body about your surgery.
